Distracted Driving

The Ohio Department of Public Safety offers the Distracted Driving Safety Course | Ohio Traffic Safety Office for traffic offenders who plead guilty or are convicted of a distracted driving violation.

The Distracted Driving Safety Course has recently moved to a different learning management system, called Ohio Learn. The Ohio Learn Citizen Learners Job Aid guides new users through the process for creating and accessing an account in Ohio Learn. Be advised that once the account is established, it may take up to six hours before access is available to the course itself. Do not wait to take the course at the last minute.

There is no cost to complete the distracted driver course. A certificate of completion can be emailed to vanwertmunicourt@gmail.com, faxed to the court at 419-238-0301 or brought into our office Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm. Please call the court at 419-238-5767 if you have any questions.
